Given what we’ve all experienced these past few years with COVID-19, it’s becoming more common for intended parents to wonder whether or not an egg donor has received the COVID-19 vaccination and/or booster shots.
Vaccinated, Boosted, or Unvaccinated Egg Donors
First and foremost, there are no set rules as to how you should choose an egg donor and which factors should matter to you. If you are curious about an egg donor’s vaccination status, we are proud to share that we have that information readily available on our database for you to view.
At Donor Nexus, we do not have a vaccination policy for egg donors. This means that you will find the following on our online database:
- Egg donors who are vaccinated and boosted
- Egg donors who are vaccinated but not boosted
- Unvaccinated egg donors
- Unvaccinated egg donors who are willing to get vaccinated if the clinic requires it
We refer to the guidelines provided by the intended parent’s fertility clinic. Some clinics may have specific requirements in place regarding the vaccination and boosters, while others do not.
How to View Vaccination Status on Our Egg Donor Database
If the donor’s vaccination status is important to you, you can easily access that information on the donor’s online profile by following these steps:
1. First, register for our free egg donor database
2. Select whether you are seeking a fresh egg donor for a one-on-one cycle or frozen donor eggs
3. Click on the donor’s profile, then click on “PDF Download” on the left side
4. Scroll down to the “Medical History” section where you will find whether the donor has had COVID-19, whether she has received the COVID-19 vaccination and/or booster shots, and if she would be willing to get vaccinated if the clinic requires it.
