Nonidentified, Identified, or Open ID
Our program supports nonidentified, identified, and open ID donations based on the preferences of both the donor and intended parent(s).
Nonidentified
Only non-identifying information is shared. You view the donor’s profile through our online database.
Identified
You and the donor agree on terms, which may include contact for medical reasons, the option for offspring to meet the donor in the future, or sharing photos over time.
Open ID
The donor agrees to release identifying information to any donor-conceived individual aged 18 or older upon request.
We also offer flexible arrangements between these categories. Each donor’s preferences are listed on her profile so you can see them before reaching out. Please note: With advancements in commercial genetic testing, we counsel all parties that permanent anonymity cannot be guaranteed, regardless of donation type.
Video Meeting With Your Donor
Within the Fresh Matching Program, we offer a Zoom meeting so you can connect with your potential donor before confirming the match, provided the donor agrees. A non-refundable $500 fee is collected to facilitate the meeting and is applied toward your cycle fees if you move forward.
To protect confidentiality, meetings are limited to the intended parent(s) and the donor. Outside participants (translators, consultants, family members) are not permitted. If the donor needs a translator, one will be provided through Donor Nexus. This option is not available for the Frozen Egg Bank.
Fresh Matching Program FAQ
Yes. We work with most fertility clinics worldwide. We coordinate directly with your clinic so you're not managing two separate conversations on your own.
In our Fresh Matching Program, your selected donor travels directly to your IVF clinic for the egg retrieval and you receive all viable eggs retrieved during the cycle. Our fresh cycles average 28.9 eggs retrieved per donor, with 22.6 mature eggs ready for fertilization and 18.2 successfully fertilized via ICSI. Where PGT-A testing is performed, the average yield is 7.2 genetically normal embryos. Many families choose the Fresh Matching Program specifically because it often yields enough embryos to freeze extras for a future sibling.
Donors are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we are always transparent when multiple families express interest. If you need more time to decide, you can place a two-week hold for a non-refundable $500 fee. If you move forward, that amount will be applied to your agency fee. This option does not apply to the Frozen Egg Bank.
For fresh cycles, yes — we can arrange a Zoom call so you can get a sense of who she is before confirming the match. No identifying information is shared on the call. There's a non-refundable $500 fee to facilitate the meeting, which is applied toward your cycle fees if you move forward. This option isn't available for frozen donor egg cycles.
For our Fresh Matching Program, we encourage Intended Parents to connect with one donor at a time via Zoom — and it's one of the reasons we ask every donor to submit a video beforehand.
When a donor agrees to a Zoom call, it signals to her that a match is likely moving forward. If a cycle doesn't progress after that conversation, it can leave her feeling as though she wasn't "good enough" — and that's something we work hard to protect our donors from experiencing.
Reviewing donor videos carefully before requesting a Zoom call helps ensure the connection is intentional and meaningful for everyone involved.
On average, 4 to 6 months from match to egg retrieval. The donor completes prescreening evaluations first, which can take up to three months. Once your clinic medically clears her, legal contracts are finalized before she begins stimulation medications (approximately 12 to 14 days). We coordinate closely with your IVF clinic to set cycle dates as soon as legal clearance is issued.Learn more about the Full Donor Egg Process.
At Donor Nexus, donors set their own compensation with our guidance, and total pricing reflects that amount along with the other cycle components listed above. Costs can vary based on the donor’s chosen compensation, travel needs, and other individual factors. We provide a detailed cost estimate before you confirm a match, so there are no surprises.
Often, yes, but not always. Fresh cycles include all eggs retrieved, which can result in more embryos and the potential for future siblings. However, outcomes depend on donor response, sperm quality, and lab factors. The Frozen Egg Bank is still an excellent option with lower upfront costs.
If, after matching, the donor is found not to be genetically compatible with your sperm provider, you may select a new donor or receive a full refund of your deposit minus any hold fees paid. If the donor does not pass medical screening at your fertility clinic, you can choose a new donor at no additional agency cost or receive a refund minus a $2,500 administration fee plus any fees already paid on the donor’s behalf.
