How to find Brazilian egg donors in the database

Every donor profile records her maternal and paternal heritage, and donors describe it in their own words, so the same background can show up under more than one label. To see every Brazilian donor, open More filters in the egg donor database, type brazil in the Heritage box, and check each option that appears, such as Brazilian and Brazil. Because many Brazilian families blend European, African, Indigenous, and Asian roots, a donor of Brazilian heritage may be listed under different ethnicities, which is why searching by heritage is the most reliable way to see all of them. Many donors list more than one heritage, so a donor who is half Brazilian and half Italian will appear in both searches.

Each detailed egg donor profile lists the donor's heritage on both sides, the languages she speaks, her education, and whether she offers non-identified, identified, or Open ID donation, and our donor egg programs overview compares fresh and frozen side by side.

How does matching with a Brazilian donor work?

Fresh Matching Program

In a fresh cycle you are matched one-to-one with a donor, she travels to your U.S. IVF clinic for monitoring and retrieval, and you receive every viable egg from that retrieval. Donor Nexus fresh cycles average 28.9 eggs retrieved and 22.6 mature eggs. Many families choose fresh when they hope to create enough embryos for a future sibling. A fresh cycle usually takes four to six months from match to retrieval, with most of that time spent on donor screening.

Frozen Egg Bank

Frozen Brazilian donor eggs are available in cohorts of six and can be shipped to your clinic anywhere in the United States. Eggs are retrieved, vitrified, and stored at a single Southern California site and shipped once, directly to your clinic. Frozen eggs usually reach your clinic within four to six weeks of paperwork and payment, and each cohort comes with the blastocyst guarantee described on the Frozen Egg Bank page.

Where are our Brazilian egg donors located?

Donors of Brazilian heritage in our program live in the United States and abroad, and each donor's location is shown on her profile. Fresh donors travel to your U.S. clinic, with travel and logistics arranged by our team and included in the program fee, and frozen eggs ship directly to clinics throughout the United States.

Where does the IVF cycle take place?

Most intended parents working with a Brazilian egg donor, including many families who live in Brazil, complete their embryo transfer at a U.S. fertility clinic of their choice. Much of the preparation, such as pretesting and early monitoring, can happen at home, so many families plan a short trip around the transfer itself. Our international egg donation guide walks through each step, and our location pages for Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, and Florida can help you choose a destination.

For donors who live in Brazil, we have also worked closely with Huntington Clinic in São Paulo, which Dr. Eduardo Leme Alves da Motta co-founded in 1995 after his time at Huntington Reproductive Center in California (now HRC Fertility). Brazilian rules set by the Federal Council of Medicine (CFM) require egg donation in Brazil to be non-commercial and anonymous, so many intended parents from Brazil travel to the United States for a larger donor pool and wider program options.

Can intended parents living in Brazil use a U.S. egg donor?

Yes. Many intended parents who live in Brazil choose a Donor Nexus donor and travel to a U.S. clinic for their embryo transfer, where the cycle follows U.S. regulations and FDA donor screening. Our financial breakdown lists current program pricing if you are comparing costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Register for free at Donor Nexus and open the egg donor database. Click More filters, type brazil in the Heritage box, and check each Brazilian option that appears, such as Brazilian and Brazil, then click Search. Each profile lists the donor's maternal and paternal heritage, and the filter works across both the Fresh Matching Program and the Frozen Egg Bank. If you would rather not search yourself, a case manager can review your criteria and send matching profiles.

Many Brazilian families have European, African, Indigenous, and Asian roots, and donors describe their own ethnicity, so a donor of Brazilian heritage might be listed under any of several ethnicities. Searching with the Heritage filter, rather than by ethnicity alone, makes sure you see every donor who lists a Brazilian background on either side of her family.

Yes. After you run your search with the Brazilian heritage options checked, click Save this search at the top right of the database, and the search is named and saved for you automatically. We email you when a new donor who matches your search is added, so you can review her profile right away. Saved searches work in both the egg donor database and the embryo bank.

Yes. Donors in the Fresh Matching Program travel to your U.S. fertility clinic for the cycle and retrieval, and our team arranges the travel and logistics, which are included in the program fee.

Frozen donor eggs can be shipped to fertility clinics throughout the United States. Because international shipping is now limited by regulations in many countries, most of our international intended parents, including families in Brazil, choose to travel to a U.S. clinic for treatment, and our team can help coordinate that process.
