Find an Irish egg donor

Donor Nexus works with egg donors of Irish heritage through both our fresh and frozen egg donation programs. Irish donors are listed under White / Caucasian in our egg donor database, and the Heritage filter lets you narrow your search to donors whose maternal or paternal background is Irish. Irish heritage often appears alongside English, Scottish, German or Italian heritage on the same profile, and each detailed donor profile lists her heritage on both sides, languages spoken, education, and whether she offers non-identified, identified, or Open ID donation. Registration is free and takes a few minutes.

New Irish donors are added to the egg donor database regularly, and new frozen egg cohorts are listed as they become available, so the right match can appear at any time. A saved search keeps watch for you, so you don't have to log in every day to check.

1. Open the egg donor database, click More filters and type ir in the Heritage search box. Check Irish and Ireland, then add anything else that matters to you.
2. Click Save this search at the top right and give it a name.
3. We email you when a new donor matching your search is added, so you can review her profile right away.

Saved searches work in both the egg donor database and the embryo bank.

How to find Irish egg donors in the database

Every donor profile records her maternal and paternal heritage, and donors describe it in their own words, so the same background can show up under more than one label. To see every Irish donor, open More filters in the egg donor database, type ir in the Heritage box, and check Irish and Ireland. The short search brings up both spellings. Many donors list more than one heritage, so a donor who is part Irish and part Italian or German will appear in each of those searches.

How does matching with an Irish donor work?

Fresh Matching Program

In a fresh cycle you are matched one-to-one with a donor, she travels to your IVF clinic for monitoring and retrieval, and you receive every viable egg from that retrieval. Donor Nexus fresh cycles average 28.9 eggs retrieved and 22.6 mature eggs. Many families choose fresh when they hope to create enough embryos for a future sibling. A fresh cycle usually takes four to six months from match to retrieval, with most of that time spent on donor screening.

Frozen Egg Bank

Frozen Irish donor eggs are available in cohorts of six and can be shipped to your clinic in the United States or abroad. Eggs are retrieved, vitrified, and stored at a single Southern California site and shipped once, directly to your clinic. Frozen eggs usually reach your clinic within four to six weeks of paperwork and payment, and each cohort comes with the blastocyst guarantee described on the Frozen Egg Bank page.

Where are our Irish egg donors located?

Donors of Irish heritage in our program live in different parts of the United States and abroad, and the location is shown on each profile. The donor's location doesn't limit your options. Fresh donors travel to your clinic wherever they live, with travel and logistics arranged by our team and included in the program fee, and frozen eggs ship directly to clinics worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Register for free at Donor Nexus and open the egg donor database. Click More filters, type ir in the Heritage box, check Irish and Ireland, then click Search. Each profile lists the donor's maternal and paternal heritage, and the filter works across both the Fresh Matching Program and the Frozen Egg Bank. If you would rather not search yourself, a case manager can review your criteria and send matching profiles.

Donors describe their heritage in their own words, so some profiles say Irish and others say Ireland. Checking both options in the Heritage filter makes sure your search includes every Irish donor, and a donor with more than one heritage will show up under each one she lists.

Yes. After you run your search with Irish and Ireland checked, click Save this search at the top right of the database and give it a name. We email you when a new donor who matches your search is added, so you can review her profile right away. Saved searches work in both the egg donor database and the embryo bank.

Yes to both. Donors in the Fresh Matching Program travel to your fertility clinic for the cycle and retrieval, and our team arranges the travel and logistics, which are included in the program fee. Through the Frozen Egg Bank, frozen donor eggs ship directly to IVF clinics throughout the United States. Because international shipping and donor travel are now limited by regulations in many countries, most of our international intended parents choose to complete treatment at a U.S. clinic, and our team can help coordinate that process.
