Italian Egg Donors
Explore Italian heritage egg donor profiles across our Fresh Matching Program and Frozen Egg Bank. Trusted since 2012, with over 2,000 babies born through our programs.
Find an Italian egg donor
Browse egg donors of Italian heritage in our egg donor database, where the Heritage filter narrows your search to donors with Italian roots on either side of the family. Sicilian is listed as its own heritage option, so if it matters to you, search the filter for Sicilian as well. You can match one-to-one through our Fresh Matching Program or choose frozen eggs from our Frozen Egg Bank. Registration is free, takes a few minutes, and opens up every detailed donor profile.

Get an email when a new Italian donor joins
New Italian donors join the egg donor database once they've been accepted into our program, and frozen donor eggs are added to our Frozen Egg Bank as donors complete their retrievals. Saving your search means we send you an email when a donor who fits it is added, which is easier than logging in each day to look.
1. Open the egg donor database, click More filters and type ital in the Heritage search box. Check each Italian option that appears, such as Italian, Italy and Portuguese Italian. Then type sici and check Sicilian too if that heritage matters to you, and add anything else you are looking for.
2. Click Save this search at the top right, and the search is named and saved for you automatically.
3. We email you when a new donor matching your search is added, so you can review her profile right away.

How to find Italian egg donors in the database
Every donor profile records her maternal and paternal heritage, and donors describe it in their own words, so the same background can show up under more than one label. To see every Italian donor, open More filters in the egg donor database, type ital in the Heritage box, and check each option that appears, such as Italian, Italy and Portuguese Italian. That way you won't miss a donor whose profile reads Italy instead of Italian. Sicilian is a separate option that the ital search doesn't bring up, so if you are looking for Sicilian roots, type sici and check Sicilian as well. Many donors list more than one heritage, so a donor who is half Italian and half Irish will appear in both searches.
What Italian egg donors are in the database?
At the time of writing in November 2026, 54 donors in the Fresh Matching Program and 10 in the Frozen Egg Bank list Italian heritage, including donors who describe it as Italy, Portuguese Italian or Sicilian. Italian is often paired with German, Spanish, Portuguese, Irish or English heritage, and a group of donors of Italian descent live in Brazil and Argentina. Brown hair and brown eyes are the most common among the fresh donors, and green and blue eyes are also well represented.
How does matching with an Italian donor work?
You can match one-to-one with an Italian donor through the Fresh Matching Program, where she travels to your IVF clinic and you receive every viable egg from her retrieval, or choose a cohort of frozen eggs from the Frozen Egg Bank and have it shipped to your clinic. Donors of Italian heritage are listed in both programs as of November 2026, so you can run the same Heritage search in each one, and our donor egg programs overview sets out the timelines, what each program includes and the donation types side by side.
Where are our Italian egg donors located?
As of November 2026, fresh donors of Italian heritage are based in more than a dozen states, with the largest groups in California, Florida and Massachusetts, and several live in Brazil and Argentina. Each profile shows where the donor lives, and her location doesn't limit your options, since a fresh donor comes to your clinic for her retrieval and her travel expenses are part of the program pricing, and frozen eggs ship to clinics throughout the United States. If you have Italian roots, are between 19 and 30, and have started reading about donating eggs, our donor page walks through screening, the cycle itself and how to apply.
Over 2,000 babies born through our programs
Since 2012, our team has guided intended parents through more than 1,000 egg retrievals, and we keep the process organized and transparent from the day you register until your donor eggs reach your clinic. If you have questions about a donor, a program or what comes next, we are glad to talk them through with you on a complimentary call.
Frequently Asked Questions
Register for free at Donor Nexus and open the egg donor database. Click More filters, type ital in the Heritage box, and check each Italian option that appears, such as Italian, Italy and Portuguese Italian, then click Search. Each profile lists the donor's maternal and paternal heritage, and the filter works across both the Fresh Matching Program and the Frozen Egg Bank. If you would rather not search yourself, a case manager can review your criteria and send matching profiles.
Donors describe their heritage in their own words, so the same background can be listed as Italian, Italy, or a combined heritage such as Portuguese Italian. Checking every Italian option in the Heritage filter makes sure your search includes all of them, and a donor with more than one heritage will show up under each one she lists.
Saving a search does that for you. With the Italian heritage options checked (and Sicilian, if you want it), run the search and click Save this search at the top right of the database, and the search is named and saved for you automatically. We email you when a new donor who matches your search is added, so you can review her profile right away. Saved searches work in both the egg donor database and the Donor Embryo Program.
She can, because every donor in the Fresh Matching Program, including donors of Italian heritage who live in Brazil or Argentina, travels to your fertility clinic in the United States for her cycle and retrieval. Our donor team books her trip, and her travel expenses are included in the program pricing, so you only need to plan around your own clinic visits. If you would rather not wait on a donor's cycle, frozen eggs from the Frozen Egg Bank can be shipped to your clinic instead.
Frozen donor eggs can be shipped to fertility clinics throughout the United States. Because international shipping is now limited by regulations in many countries, most of our international intended parents choose to travel to a U.S. clinic for treatment, and the clinic you choose can explain its treatment timeline so you know how long to plan your stay.
If Sicilian heritage is part of what you are looking for, yes. Sicilian is its own option in the Heritage filter and doesn't come up when you type ital, so type ital and check Italian, Italy and Portuguese Italian, then type sici and check Sicilian too. Each profile shows whether the heritage is on the maternal or paternal side.
As of November 2026, several fresh donors of Italian descent live in Brazil and Argentina, and many of them list Spanish, Portuguese or Brazilian heritage alongside Italian. Like every donor in the Fresh Matching Program, a donor living in South America travels to your U.S. clinic for her cycle, and her travel expenses are included in the program pricing.
