What is an Outside Monitoring Clinic? Oct 31, 2022 | by Donor Nexus

In this video, we explain to potential egg donors what it means when you hear "outside monitoring clinic". If you prefer text, we have the video transcribed for you below.

What is an Outside Monitoring Clinic?

Have you ever heard the term “outside monitoring clinic”?

Scenario 1: Egg Banking

If you’re participating in an egg banking cycle with the Donor Nexus Egg Bank (DNEB), you will be working with HRC Fertility located in Newport Beach, California.

Scenario 2: One-On-One Fresh Cycle

If you are participating in a one-on-one egg donation cycle, you will be working with the clinic of the intended parent’s choosing, which can be located anywhere in the U.S. Sometimes, a clinic will require you to go to their specific clinic to complete your labs and ultrasound. Alternatively, they may let you go to a clinic local to you.

For example, if you are participating in our DNEB and you live in Florida, we will find a clinic and a LabCorp local to you to complete your labs and ultrasound. Usually, these appointments are scheduled before 10:00 AM to ensure we get same-day results and are able to send them to your IVF coordinator.

Once your IVF coordinator receives your results, the doctor will then review them.
